Gypsy came to us and immediately got into the banter and laughter the group maintains.

So we have a few more updates

As many of u know the padded cell restarted our member of the month feature again.

We have so many talented member in the cell so u can imagine just picking one was a hard choose especially from the talent we have in the forum but we did it.

The member to whom we choose has been dedicated and true friend to us all And has been a member with us since our Crafty Minx Days over on msn before we all got carted away to our cells. lol

Everyones been making tags for her for her honour and we have included some of those in our slideshow below.

She is the most friendly, sweet and funniest person you could meet in the psping world.

Her tagging skills and hand of friendship to all is what makes her mama in everyway there is no stop to the talents she has and the laughter she brings. No matter what kind of day your having she always bring that smile to your face and offers help beyond the bounds.

We also took the time and asked our members for quotes on Mama and here they Are.

Butter- Mama Ev is an outstanding member shes always cheery always know when to hug you if your down or up or slap you when your mischievous, Never sad makes you have a warm fuzzy feeling of happiness, one of those people you look forward to reading and seeing her work.. shes an extremely gifted and talented Tagger but she wont admit it, Mind you she must spend a fortune in Gold Spray paint a week for her Tarnished Halo

Serina - Mama Ev is a lovely person full of love and kind words for anyone who's down. You can always count on her for a good giggle post and if your day is dreary and slow just look for her name and read her posts and if you don't smile I'd be very surprised. A very sweet person and a fabulous tagger. Oo and lets not forget, that tarnished halo she keeps buying from the dollar store *giggles* she pretends to be an angel but she really is a lil devil in disguise pmsl!!

DreamyDoodles - what all can I say about Ev that prolly hasnt been said yet shes a wonderful person and friend always has a way to make your day brighter from just a post you've read...Thanks for being who you are and never change you..

Ismael Rac Joined Us Cellmates

We had the fabulous honour of having the wonderfull Artist Ismael Rac Join Us Over At The Padded Cell Recently.

He was welcomed by us all crazy ladies and gentlemen and we did a show off of some of the fabulous tags with his work past and present

While chatting he was asked a few question from our members and we thought we would share them with you

Can i ask how long you have being drawing and designing and what is your most favourite Image to create so far??

Ismaels Response : UkAngel I have been drawing for about 4 years I started in November 2004 and Thanks for the comment and support.

I don't really have a fave image so far becuase I have so much more to improve

1. When did you first realise you had a gift for drawing ...?

Ismaels Response. I just wanted to become a Digital Artist , when you are born we all draw as kids nothing special we all do it but some of us stop for whatever reason I guess I just wanted to re-awake my inner child and see if I could do it. I began to draw in November 2004 and ever since them I have focus on it to push myself to become a good Artist. All I can do is just keep on pushing to become one.

2. did you take any formal qualifications in art....?

Ismaels Response. I never had a formal training. I first began to learn web Design and programming so I was able to learn allot on my own, so I decided to learn how to draw on my own. I have many friends that have had professional training Trade schools art schools but, I think that when you attend School you work at a pace of the Teacher and basically not all students learn at the same ration, some get discourage and others think that is too easy so at the same time it does not work out. At least that’s how I feel plus when you really want to learn something really bad you work harder to succeed, self motivation is the key.

3. are you classically trainned or just Naturally gifted

Ismaels Response. I train myself. I don’t think that drawing is something that you are born with I use to think that people that draw are born with the skill but I have experience that it takes dedication to make it work.

4 although you draw digitally did yu have to take computer courses to learn ..?

Ismaels Response. I always had an interest in computers and the internet is my biggest help of all time you can learn just about anything.

5. what programs do you use for creating your artwork are you a traditionalist who draw on paper first or do you use a tablet

Ismaels Response I Use Photoshop cs3 at the moment I have cs4 but I lags on my PC. I use to draw and paper and then scan and color but, I always thought that if you do it this way is not really digital drawing is more like Digital coloring and drawing on paper eats more time. Back in 2006 to make one image it would take me like 20 -30 Hours and is just a pain. I began to learn and try techniques to make it faster and better know it takes me about 3 – 7 hours.

6. What have been your main influences.....

Ismaels Response Looking at other artist’s work and wanting to do it is the biggest motivation, going to sleep knowing that the next day you will create something from a white screen is the best feeling.

7. which other commerical artists do you admire

Ismaels Response For some reason I don’t really have one artist that I admired they all have great skills and I can’t pick one. (Good question)

8 what has been your greatest achievement .....

Mpt Sponsored Contest The Padded Cell Showoff

Many of you will know the padded cell ran a sponsored Mpt contest in the month of March

We had a fabulous run up week for anyone who wanted to enter in the form of 14 challenges, this entiled you to one entry in the big contest.

Wow what a week of fabulous creations that was.

Finally the contest started the entrants had to make a spring style tag.

The tag had to have the following to be a qualified entry

2 plugin must have been used within the tag

A criter of some type like a rabit, bird and so on must be visible within the tag

It had to contain butterflies

and With the start of spring the tag must have contained rain still or animated

And Also because it was a mpt contest it had to contain a mpt tube of there choice.

Now this was a hard contest but the outstanding work from our member for it was just amazing and we are here not only to show boat the main winners but to show off all the fabulous tags made for the contest for everyone to see.

well i decided to throw in a twist for the collaboration for the girls. There were two stipulations to the tutorials

1. you have to use the tube supplied in one of your tuts either tutorial or both

2. I Created some masks, use one on your tutorial don't have to use the one that was created for you but must use one of them on at least one of the tutorials.
Tell you if looks and mumbles could kill id be dead. But hey it makes it very interesting when we have all been limited down. My first tutorial feature's Simone's part of the TCP Valentine kit.

I've never done frames before and it was fun to try different ideas, I just hope I didn't go overboard lmao! Have you all still got some hair left i know we have been teasing you for a week now about the BIG SECRET over at the forum. Well its a collaboration a bigger one than normal. Each day we will be releasing parts of the TCP Valentine Collaboration every day this week, so don't forget to keep coming and checking whats posted on the boards. So i hear you ask whats different about this one well we have all scrapped Yes YOU HEARD US LADIES even Serina and Butter have taken there first steps at making some parts of this special kit, and both Lou and Simone have made some awesome scrap.
